Pray without ceasing

WP_20160411_16_47_05_Pro (2)Ever wonder how to pray? You get on your knees and get distracted in the first few seconds? Choose a place where there is no distraction and a time with not many attractions eg every early while everyone is still sleeping. Know u can put off what ever you have to do till after the prayer.

Have you ever wondered why you run out of words to say? And keep repeating? I want to encourage you there is a lot to pray about. There is a lot to thank God for. You don’t have to knee down and pray for yourself. The bible encourages us to intercede for others. If we took the time to pray, only for the people who ask us to pray for, even an hour would not be enough. Yet we should also pray for those who are lost and feel they don’t need Jesus. We should pray for our nation.

We should also not only pray for our needs but also that God can use us. We should ask for his grace. To also give us more faith, help us forgive, cleanse and teach us. There is alot we can ask of God. And he is faithful and just to answer our prayers. Anything we ask for, he says we shall receive. Yet in James, it is written we do not get because we ask for the most wrong reasons and we don’t believe. Faith is a gift of God. Ask God to help your unbelief. When we really pray about all things, we show that we rely on Christ in all aspects of life. A day would not even be enough to exhaust all our prayer if we did so, which fits right into the calling to pray without ceasing. Let us communicate with God. Because we need him. Let us allow him to work in our lives.

  1. Very encouraging post! We should indeed be praying for everything with thanksgiving according to His Word “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7

    1. Oh yes, you are right belovedheart . The Bible is very elaborate in encouraging us to pray. And yet sometimes, if not all the time, prayer I the last on our to do list. Recently I heart a sermon. You are as strong as your prayer life. So powerful. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it and the Bible verse.
